Using the site directly

Everything above is about publishing through an AI assistant. doodlebox also has a browser interface for people who want to work without one.

/drop — publish by dragging files in

Drag a folder, a single file, or paste code straight into the browser at doodlebox.app/drop. No AI, no API call — the files go live the same way a publish through the API would. Requires being logged in (sign up or log in first if you're not).

/edit/<id> — change an existing project

Upload a replacement file or folder for a project you already own. Choose to merge with the existing files or replace everything.

/ide/<id> — edit code in the browser

A small in-browser code editor for an existing project: a file tree, syntax highlighting, and a Save button that publishes a new version immediately.

Search

The search box on the home page (?q= in the URL) matches project titles and descriptions, including close misspellings.

Categories

Every project is assigned a category automatically during moderation, and the owner can change it any time from their profile. The home page can be filtered to one category (?category=) using the same values:

A project that's just an image or PDF

Through /drop or /edit, a single image or PDF file can be the whole project — served exactly as uploaded, with no HTML wrapper. This path is browser-only; the AI-facing publish/update API always treats a single uploaded file as index.html.

Storage quota

Each account has a combined storage limit across all of its projects, shown on the account's /me page.

Deleting a project

The owner can delete a project from /me. There is no undo and no API endpoint for it — deletion is a browser-only action, on purpose.
